New Member Profile: Nick and Jamie Rodriguez

BASICS: What are your names and any nicknames?

Nick, Jamie and Margot Rodriguez 

YOU: Tell us about you and your family.

Nick grew up in Kenosha, WI, and Jamie grew up in Eden Prairie, MN. Nick and Jamie met at Winona State University, and Nick finished his undergrad at DePaul University in Chicago! They lived in Minneapolis together for a few years, have been in Phoenix, AZ since 2022, and are now moving back to Richfield, MN. Jamie recently graduated from ASU with her MBA. Currently Jamie is a Product Owner at Inspire Medical, and Nick is a Senior Graphic Designer/Marketer at Ping. They welcomed their daughter, Margot, in January! They’re excited to be back in MN to enjoy outdoor activities and be with friends & family. 

BELONG: What does belonging to a synagogue mean to you?

For us, belonging to a synagogue is about community. We value connection, tradition, and being part of something meaningful. It’s important to us to raise our family in a space where people come together, support each other, and share life’s moments! 

HERE: Why did you choose Bet Shalom?

Jamie grew up at Bet Shalom and had her bat mitzvah here in 2008! Her parents are Leslee and Vern (deceased) Cairncross. Leslee is still a member! Her sister, Jackee Miller, and brother Blake also grew up going to Bet Shalom but are no longer members. We’re excited to add an extra community element to Margot’s childhood since she will attend day care at BSY.
