Action: Stand By Israel

A Note from the Minneapolis Jewish Federation

To our community,

This past weekend, Rom El-Hai, a 29-year-old Israeli from Netanya visited the Twin Cities and spoke to our community as a part of the Faces of October 7. He shared his moving story of surviving the Hamas attack on the Nova Music Festival and asked that we continue to do all we can to stand with Israel.

Through all the noise, our resolve remains exactly this. In coordination with several major Jewish organizations, the Minneapolis Jewish Federation and Jewish Federations of North America are joining onto National Mobilization Week (December 4-8) to encourage members of our communities to call their representatives and urge them to support Israel.

The purpose is to make our voices heard by generating thousands of pro-Israel calls into congressional offices during this four-day period and ensure that they are not just hearing from anti-Israel constituencies. We need to urge our Members of Congress to ignore calls to restrict or even stop the flow of American aid to Israel.

Here's what you'll need:

Toolkit: AIPAC has put together a toolkit that you can use including pre-drafted emails, texts, and social media posts. Please help us amplify this message.

Action Alert website: Click here for a script and phone numbers for constituents to call.

Shine A Light 2023: is underway as we approach Hanukkah. Join us to dispel the darkness of rising antisemitism. Check out the calendar of events, encourage your companies to join as a workplace partner, and post throughout December on your social media accounts.

We hope you will join us in remaining vigilant and unwavering against terrorism and antisemitism and supporting the release of the remaining 136 hostages.

Am Yisrael Chai.
