Birding Group
Tuesday 4/25 | 9:30 AM
Our next birding social will be at Marshall Terrace Park in Minneapolis, 2740 Marshall St. N.E. on Tuesday, April 25 at 9:30-10:30 am.
Why Marshall Terrace Park, you say? There's a great blue heron rookery at this location, visible from this park. The rookery, down the hill from the park, consists of two islands on the Mississippi River, where at last count, fifty or so herons are present, claiming their nesting sites, along with many cormorants as well. One can also anticipate seeing some ducks, geese and bald eagles. Three bald eagles are currently inhabiting the area.
