B’nai Mitzvah Date Selection

Bet Shalom Congregation

This event is only for families who have received communication that they should attend. If you have a question about this, please contact Avi Aharoni.

We are so excited to kick off the b’nai mitzvah process with your family! At Bet Shalom, we select dates for our students to mark the milestone of becoming b’nai mitzvah approximately two years before a child turns 13 through a process we call “date selection.”

We will be meeting on Sunday, October 3rd, 2021 from 10:30 – 11:30 in person to kick off the conversation about the b’nai mitzvah process here at Bet Shalom, focusing primarily on everything involved in selecting a date. We expect all parents to attend, even if you have an older child who has gone through the process.

Please let Avi Aharoni know if you are able to attend by Monday, September 26th, 2021. You can contact him at Avi.Aharoni@betshalom.org.

This meeting is for parents only.

Tashlich

Rosh Hashanah 5782

Join Rabbi Locketz, Rabbi Crimmings, and Cantor Havilio in person at Bet Shalom by the Holocaust Reflection garden to cast our misdeeds into the water. We invite all families with children under 12 to join us in our parking lot for Tashlich. In addition to the ritual of Tashlich, families will have an opportunity to participate in a fun and meaningful outdoor Rosh Hashanah experience, including singing, a project, and the sounding of the shofar!

“Cast asway from yourselves all your transgressions, and create within yourselves a new heart and new spirit!” (Ezekiel 19:31).
