Yizkor

A Passover Yizkor service  is held on the last morning of Passover in our sanctuary.  Yizkor is the memorial service that we do four times a year (Yom Kippur, Sukkot, Passover and Shavuot).  During this service, we read the names of every person connected to our community who has died since Passover Yizkor last year, as well as any names that members request us to include.

Email marilyn.ruby@betshalom.org if you will be attending services that morning and if there is a name of a loved one you’d like added to our yizkor memorial list.

When Yizkor falls on a weekday, as it does this year, we hold that service at 11:00 AM to make it easier for people to attend who may want to extend their lunch hour to be at Bet Shalom. It is a lovely service, that lasts roughly an hour, and is a wonderful way to honor the memories of those whose presence we often feel so strongly during the holidays.  A light lunch will be served following the service.
