Shavuot Yizkor

memorial candles
Four times a year we set aside time to remember loved ones of blessed memory. We call this yizkor and invite you to join us. Here is an article to learn more.
If you are planning to participate in services and would like to request that a name be read during the memorial portion of the service, please email avi.aharoni@betshalom.org. You can also email Avi for the zoom link.

Confirmation

This year Shavuot begins on Sunday, May 16th and the Confirmation Ceremony will be at 7:00pm. Family will attend in person, and the service will be streamed to the larger congregation via our website.

Seeing One Another at Sinai: A Minnesota Night of Revelation

On Shavuot, when our calendar marks the giving of the Torah, there is a custom to stay up late or even all night as if we were there at Mount Sinai. Join teachers across the Twin Cities for a night of prayer, study, conversation, and community as we participate in ongoing revelation from generation to generation.

We want these programs to be accessible to all. If you need accommodations, such as ASL interpretation, please email communications@templeisrael.com.

Confirmation and Shavuot Service

Join us in celebrating with our 2020 Confirmation Class as they accept and confirm their place as the next generation of Jewish learners and community members at Bet Shalom. This special service takes place on Shavuot so that we, as an adult community, can embrace, welcome, and learn Torah from our amazing young leaders.

This event is open to Confirmation families, as well as the entire Bet Shalom Congregation.
