Hello Pre-K Families!
We have had a wonderful first 2 weeks, and 6 days of school. Much of our time has been spent learning about our new classroom procedures, exploring classroom tools and play areas, and spending time with our friends!
We welcome our new students from Preschool; Eleanor, Madison, Eden C, Noah, as well as Alana who is new to Bet Shalom.
Last week we also talked about and celebrated Rosh Hashanah by listening to the shofar and “waking up” when we heard it’s song. We also made honey themed cards and sang songs together.
This week we learned about the bees who make honey, and what their other jobs are! We made bees out of clothespins to help bring nectar (yellow pom poms) back to the hive. We added some new decorations to our bee themed classroom and talked about how our classroom community works like a hive! We have been quite busy bees in room 104 and are so excited to continue learning and growing together!
On Monday we are celebrating color day! Dress your child in green to celebrate our Yarok community. Also, on every Friday from this point on, we will be having Show and Tell. I will send a reminder post for our first Show and Tell this coming week, and will give reminders in class so your child can be thinking about what they would like to bring.
Fondly, Ms. Veronica and Ms. Langley
