Happy May families! The new month brought a new dramatic play area, some new toys, animals and getting ready for Pre-K Graduation for some at the end of the month. Thank you to all the families for the gifts to the Pre-K staff!
Dramatic Play: Our new dramatic play area was a rain forest. The room started out very bare and the kids helped decorate the area adding trees, leaves, flowers and a waterfall. We also had lots of new rain forest/forest animals to add and play with around the room. We read a couple books to learn more about the rainforest as well and the different layers of the rainforest.
During the week they had the opportunity to make some rainforest animals.
Wednesday we celebrated Andrew’s 5th GOLDEN birthday! He brought popsicles to share. Happy Birthday, Andrew!
Our letter of the week was Xx not Zz that I mentioned last week 🙂 We practiced writing Xx, finding words with Xx. The letter Xx also reminded me of the game Tic Tac Toe so they were able to learn how to play that and someone mentioned that X meant “I love you” or kisses and hugs! Perfect timing for Mother’s Day!
The kids worked hard on their Mother’s Day gift which included painting and using clay to build. They also made cards with words. I am sure you are going to love their gift and can cherish it.
Highlight of the week was being able to have music in person in the sanctuary with the whole school! Every class was social distanced. It was a great feeling and the kids loved it!
Next week we will celebrate making it through the whole alphabet, add a tour guide station for our dramatic play and learn about Shavuot.
Shabbat Shalom! Amber, Rosie, Sarah, Lily
