Hello Tzahov and Katom families, this cold winter week went by fast for us. It was filled with joy and laughter.
On Monday, the babes were welcomed back with a new sensory activity. Large plastic bags were filled with marshmallows (not for eating), glitter, cut out snowflakes, and hair gel. They enjoyed squishing the bag around and feeling the different textures.
On Tuesday, a new tree activity center was brought into our room. The babes enjoyed moving the beads, plants and animals around. They all played together so nicely, each on their own side.
Wednesday was our all school gift exchange during music. The infant rooms decorated a cup stacking game with their footprint penguins and handprint polar bears to give to the pre K classroom. We received a super cute feelings book from the preschool class with decorated pages and the infants pictures. The babes love flipping through the book and seeing themselves.
During music, Rabbi Crimmings led us in Chanukah songs and some of our favorites like “Hokey Pokey” and “Itsy Bitsy Spider”.
The igloo continues to be a source of fun. New accents were added to create a more cozy feel. The babes love peeking through the window, throwing the soft balls, and looking at the penguins and polar bears.
Tea party Thursday was a hit with the babes. They enjoyed pretending to pour and drink tea. How fancy!!
Also, the climber was available all day. Crawling through the tunnel, climbing the stairs, and sliding down the wedge brought entertainment and large muscle activity.
The sensory bottles were also brought out and were enjoyed by all, shaking and banging them together. Chanukah books were read all week highlighting the menorah and dreidels. Bubbles were also requested many times this week. Pop, pop, pop!
Friday we will have classroom free play and Shabbat. We hope everyone enjoys the holiday week with family and friends.
Warmly, Miss Sarah, Miss Rosie, Miss Heidi, Miss Hannah
