Happy first week of March! Spring is almost here. We had a fun week in Tzahov and Katom. We welcomed Ellie to our room and have enjoyed getting to know her and meeting her family.
On Monday, the climber was a popular apparatus. We had fun climbing in and on it, as well as zooming cars down the ramp.
The cars were also used this week as back massages for the babes. They loved the feeling and were giggly, constantly asking for more!
Tuesday, we brought out the jars and lids for the babes to explore. We practiced putting toys in and dumping them out as well as putting on the lids and taking them off. If you have any empty, interesting containers at home, we would be happy to take them. The babes love playing with everyday objects that aren’t necessarily traditional toys.
The sensory bottles were also available to play with. Again, these are just empty water bottles that were filled with various liquids and colorful or musical objects. The babies play with them by shaking, rolling, knocking them down, and just looking at what’s inside.
Wednesday, we had picnic fun with the play food and dishes. The littles have fun digging through the buckets and pulling out their favorite foods. We practiced letter names with the foods connecting the letters with the babe’s names.
We sang a lot of ABC renditions this week as well as our other favorites like “Row, Row, Row Your Boat” and “Bumping Up and Down on the Little Red Wagon”. Other theme activities we did this week were reading Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and the ABC Dr. Seuss book.
Thursday was a busy, yet super fun day with Tzahov and Katom combining classes all day. The little ones played so nicely together on the mat while the older babes chased each other around the chair and tunnel. They all learn so much from each other!
Friday is a day we always look forward to when everybody meets together for Shabbat songs and dancing. Remember, the second Friday of the month (next Friday) is special person Shabbat at 9 am. Please join us if you are able.
Next week, we will do an ABC art project with dot dot markers and do a scavenger hunt around the building ( unless the weather holds out for us).
We hope you have a wonderful, restful, and healthy weekend.
Fondly, Miss Heidi, Miss Sarah, Miss Rosie, and Miss Hannah
