Happy Friday Tzahov and Katom families. We hope your week was as wonderful as ours. We wrapped up our month of opposites talking about big and little.
We included the Jewish value of the month, loving all creatures, by bringing out stuffed animals in many sizes. The babes loved snuggling the animals and enjoyed the variety of sizes, textures, and faces. The duck even made noise which some really enjoyed!
We also read animal themed books throughout the week.
Mat time this week included lots of songs with hand motions and bubbles. One special mat time this week happened to be when all the mobile babies were napping. Even though the younger babies benefit from watching the mobile babies explore, it’s also nice to give them a chance to play on the mat together.
The babes this week were especially fond of playing with cars and trucks. We have a plethora of vehicles to interest every baby from large dump trucks to hand sized cars. Of course, there are favorites which are highly sought after, helping us teach the importance of taking turns.
On Thursday, for book character day, the teachers dressed as our favorite animal book, Moo, Baa, La La La. Along with book character day, we had a special guest reader, Miss Amber. The babies love story time and a visit from Miss Amber is always a welcomed treat.
We also really enjoyed reading the special books brought in by the babes who dressed up in their favorite characters. We all love books!!
Next month’s theme is ABC and me. We will focus on the first letter of every baby’s name. We will read many ABC books and sing the ABC song. We will have fun doing art and will be bringing in new sensory items.
We hope you all enjoy the weekend and we look forward to seeing everyone next week.
Fondly, Miss Heidi, Miss Sarah, Miss Rosie, and Miss Hannah
