Happy Friday Tzahov Families!
We’ve made it to the end of our first month of the new school year. This week we wrapped up our theme of All About Me and My School. We hope you enjoyed the booklet we put together to showcase their skills and to document their first week of school. Meeting milestones is such a big deal in the infant room because they occur so often. It’s always a big celebration when they show physical development such as, their first roll, their first forward movement, even if it’s not quite crawling, pulling up to stand, cruising, and their first steps. We also celebrate cognitive developments like using signs, waving and showing evidence understanding and communication.
During the week we talked about our class “rules” and showed through play how we take care of ourselves through our routineswe and take care of each other through gentle touches. In addition, we’ve also spent a lot of time teaching safe ways to play. Phrases you’ll hear through the day are, “feet on floor”, “you can crawl around your friend” and “it’s so and so’s turn with that toy”.
Next month, we celebrate fall. We are looking forward to an autumn spiced art experience, lots of leaves and hopefully some walks to highlight the color changes. In addition, we will be meeting a new classmate who will be joining our Tzahov family.
