Today was the last day of our fun All Kinds of Animals theme. We wrapped up the week with an art project making masks. Glue was spread on the outsides of a paper plate and the babies were encouraged to put colored tissue paper on the plate. The babes each had a different experience; some wanted to put the tissue paper in their mouths and some were confused as to why the tissue was sticking to their hands after touching the glue. A couple of babes really enjoyed the experience, too. In the end, it’s all about the exposure to different materials/textures and new experiences.
Two babies celebrated their first birthday this week, Cooper K. and Gavin! Happy special birthday to you both!! We’re excited to be a part of your first year and are looking forward to the next few months of development.
Books play a big role in our daily activities. The babies love to hear their favorite stories read. Certain books are helpful in teaching monthly themed concepts. Many times, books can change strong emotions instantly. We all love books!!
Our focus shifts next month to Summer Fun. A beach party, camping, cool treats, and a whole lot of summer fun awaits!!!
We hope you have a wonderful weekend.
Kindly, Miss Heidi, Miss Sarah, and Miss Noa
