Happy Friday Tzahov and Katom families. It was a short week but still full of fun!! The AC is back on and it’s nice and cool in our classroom!
This week we focused on zoo animals!! We sang our favorite songs like “Wheels on the Bus” and “Old MacDonald” as well as “We Can Hear the Lion Roaring at the Zoo” and “Little Kitten”. Great related books that we have read in our classroom and can be read at home are Noah’s Ark by the PJ Library, Put Me in the Zoo by Robert Lopshire and Polar Bear, Polar Bear by Eric Carle. The animal puppets accompanied song sessions this week and were a hit! The babes love to touch and see the puppets dancing.
The babies enjoyed playing with theme related toys like toy houses for the animals, animal stacking rings, and miniature animals!! We have also been practicing animal sounds so don’t be surprised if your child roars at you. They are just pretending to be lions!
We would like to welcome our newest and youngest member of our Tzahov family, Paxton! We are so happy to have him join our classroom!
Next week, we will continue this month’s theme of All Kinds of Animals. A fun art project is planned as well as more books and circle time activities. As Dorothy Gale said it best, “lions and tigers and bears, oh my!”
Kindly, Miss Noa, Miss Heidi and Miss Sarah
