“Row, row, row your boat gently down the stream” was sung on repeat in Tzahov this week. Our focus was all about ocean animals. Other songs sang this week include, “One Little, Two Little, Three Little Fishies”, “A Sailor Went to Sea” and “Animals in the Ocean.” Lyrics can be found in the pictures below. Whenever new songs are sung the babes gaze at us in wonderment absorbing as much as they can.
New ocean décor and toys were placed around the room for the babies to explore. We have a variety of stuffed fish, whales and turtles to snuggle. Blue bubble wrap and fish were put up for a great sensory experience.
Nothing says summer more than some good old fashioned water play. Individual bins with spoons, cups, fish, duck and frog toys were set out for the babies to play with. They loved splashing in the water.
We wrapped up the week with an art project. The kiddos used finger paints to create water and then the teachers stamped their hands and cut them out to make fish. What a fun sensory experience to squish blue paint between their fingers. Their lovely works of art can be found in the hallway.
Next week we will continue with our all kinds of animals theme with a focus on zoo animals.
We hope everyone has a fun and relaxing weekend!
Sincerely, Miss Sarah, Miss Heidi and Miss Noa
