Old Mac Donald had a farm was the focus of this week in Tzahov. The babes heard this song a lot when reading books, interacting with puppets or animal figurines, and playing with the Little People farm house. We also had a stuffed animal cow, horse, and rooster to play with. Recycled bottles filled with small animals and clear gel were a hit, as well.
An interactive barn door replaced Tzahov’s beloved kitchen and house and will stay throughout the month. The babies love dancing to the music and crawling through the doorway. Another musical toy that fits this week’s theme is an interactive cow where the babes put balls through a shoot and comes out at the base.
Baa Baa Black Sheep was also a song on replay this week. All the babes had an opportunity to create a sheep by putting cotton balls on sticky contact paper. Some of the babies were confused and thought the cotton balls were food! Look for them hanging in the hallway outside our door.
Thursday was Ellie’s last day at BSY. We will miss her loving, kind, and bubbly personality and her great big smile! We will also miss her wonderful parents! We wish her the best in her new care center MUCH closer to their home.
Next week, we will spend time exploring ocean animals. There are also many, fun sea/ocean songs that we are looking forward to singing!!!
We hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
