Happy Friday. We had a wonderful week! We truly enjoyed chatting with all of you over the past 2 weeks during conferences. It was a pleasure catching up with you and sharing about each of your baby’s days at school.
What a tremendous victory it is to put all 9 babies in strollers and go out for a walk. We had such beautiful weather this week; we went for a couple of walks! Thank you to everyone who has brought hats and sunscreen (for babes over 6 months) and a light jacket to leave at school for cooler days. On our walks, we looked for flowers, turtles, and birds. Outside, we visited with Jake the gardener and Cantor Havilio, as well as the pre-k’ers. Everyone loves seeing the babies!!
For art this week, the older babes had fun exploring dot dot markers. Some really liked the coffee filter paper while others liked the pretty colors. The finished product was made into beautiful butterflies and put on the classroom window for all to see.
A new flower picture display replaced last month’s lift the flap house. The babies love seeing pictures of their friends and pointing out who is who. Small ladybug and butterfly stickers can be found on the petals and leaves for discovery.
Storytime focused heavily on reading about butterflies and bugs. One favorite book that was highlighted was The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. We also did a lot of singing including “The Ants Go Marching” and of course our usual favorites like “Mr. Sun” and “The Itsy Bitsy Spider”.
Sticking with our Signs of Spring theme, feathers, bird feeders, and binoculars are all things to look for in next week’s blog.
We hope you enjoy the weekend. Miss Heidi, Miss Sarah, and Miss Noa
