Happy Friday Tzahov families. Summing up our week in words doesn’t do justice to how much joy the babies bring and fun we have with your fabulous children each day.
This week we sang, read books, blew bubbles, spent time indoors and out, played in our room and in the big room, and did art! Early in the week, we stamped every baby’s footprints on paper making the tree trunks and branches of what would become fall looking trees. Later in the week, the babies used sponges to dab on red, yellow, and sparkly orange paint making the leaves. It was fun getting messy!!
Look for these works of art in the hallway outside our door. Our fall tree art replaced the silly monster gallery which you will now find your own personal silly monster in your child’s cubby.
Color day was Wednesday. It was fun to see all the bright yellow on a mostly overcast morning. The teachers gathered all the yellow toys in our room and put them out for exploration and play.
Miss Sarah has been out all week and we miss her a lot. Miss Amber, Miss Michelle, and Miss Sarah N. have filled in and brought lots of excitement to our room. The babes really enjoyed their big room time and outdoor walks with them.
A favorite book this week was the giant book we introduced last week, Going On a Leaf Hunt. The colors in the book are vivid and the sing songy chant of the story is entertaining. The babes sit so nicely and listen attentively. They really love story time!!
They also really love music time!! It’s fun to see from week to week their development in recognizing the songs and mimicking the hand motions.
We have one more week for our fall theme. Next week, we will bring in pumpkins and gourds to explore and fill sensory bottles with pumpkin seeds, pinecones, and leaves. We will also focus on the upcoming holiday of Rosh Hashanah. We have holiday books to read with props and will sing holiday songs.
We hope you have a wonderful weekend.
Warmly,Ms.Heidi, Ms. Sarah, Ms. Hannah
