We are so happy to have a full week with our babies!
The babes, as well as teachers and staff were thrilled to see the new roadway in our room. It was fun for the babies to roll cars and other toys along the road.
We also revamped our non-mobile baby area by opening up the space. It now provides a more relaxing space for some of our babies to play in.
They also enjoyed playing in the big room this week, as well as reading animal books and feeding cookies to Cookie Monster.
As this month ends, we are saying goodbye to orange fish from Brown Bear, Brown Bear and welcoming white dog into the classroom for March. If families have any favorite dogs books they would like to share with the class, we would love to read them to the babies. They love listening to books, especially animal books.
In music we sang songs about the Jewish holiday Purim, which occurs towards the end of March. We will have a silly dress up day to celebrate, as well as a parade with costumes and carnival!
Discussing emotions and different facial expressions with the babies was enjoyable too and one of our focuses this week. We talked about what types of facial expressions we make when we are happy or sad and will continue to talk about them in March. They love seeing the pictures of different expressions in our Baby Faces book. They love mimicking them and it is so great for us to see them express themselves in so many different ways.
We hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
