Tzahov Room צהוב (Infants)

Hello Tzahov families, Happy May! We started the week doing an art project to create a beautiful rainbow for our window. Our older babes used dot dot markers on coffee filters, each using a different color, then watched in amazement as we sprayed the filters with water. The babes all love the water sprayer and watched as the colors bled throughout the filter!! Look for the finished project early next week.

In the middle of the week, we welcomed May by creating May Day baskets. Each baby foot stamped two baskets, one to keep and one to give to a staff member in the building. A few of the babes went on an indoor walk to deliver the baskets while some other babes snoozed. The Bet Shalom staff were appreciative of the candy, loved the foot stamped baskets and the special visit from the babes.

Wednesdays are music with the Cantor day. Sometimes we are introduced to new songs, but this week we sang familiar songs like “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes”, “Hokey Pokey”, and “If You’re Happy and You Know It”. We have a great time getting together with all the other classes.

One focus we had this week in our classroom was counting. When stacking blocks, we counted. During song time, we counted (“Five Little Monkeys”, “Five Green and Speckled Frogs”). We also read books about counting like The Five Little Sharks. This book was especially fun because the pages were huge!!

Speaking of huge, we played a lot of peek a boo this week with scarves, around the red tunnel, and around the back of the rocking chair, creating HUGE smiles.  All of the babes love playing peek a boo.

Everyday, we encourage the babies to learn new skills, whether it’s pushing up for tummy time, sitting, crawling, walking, climbing, eating, signing, or talking and we make sure to celebrate every small development. Your babies fill our hearts with joy and excitement. We love spending our days with your precious humans. We hope you enjoy all the pictures this week getting a small glimpse of our days and hope you have a healthy and restful weekend.

Joyfully, Ms. Heidi, Ms. Sarah, and Ms. Katie
