Hello Tzahov families! Another fun week has flown by. The babies were busy on Monday with a fun sensory activity. We taped up contact paper with the sticky side out to the end of a toy shelf and stuck small, light toys to it. The babies had so much fun grabbing the toys off and sticking them back on or even feeling their hands stick to the side. They explored it all week long.
On Tuesday, we started an art project making kites. The babes took tissue paper and stuck it to contact paper inside a kite shape. Next, we added string and ribbons to them and put them on one of our windows. Not only did they love sticking the tissue paper to the kites, but they really enjoy standing at the window and grabbing the strings.
They are always curious about new items and textures found in the room.
We also enjoyed a lovely walk in the afternoon. As we walked, we spotted a dog being walked and a helicopter flying over us. We just never know what we will see each time we go on a walk. It is always an adventure.
On Wednesday, we finished the kite project and enjoyed music with Cantor Schwartz. We enjoyed singing, “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes”, “The Hokey Pokey”, and a new song called, “The Synagogue”. It is all about what we do at the synagogue. The babies enjoyed the new tune. We had an opportunity immediately following music to run a fire drill, which is a lot of work but so important to practice. If you’re interested in what we do, ask us!
On Thursday, it was a busy day of rolling around, scooting, jumping and just hanging out. We had a wonderful time on such a dreary day.
Friday will be a great day filled with Shabbat, singing, dancing and laughing.
