Tzahov Room צהוב (Infants)

Happy Friday Tzahov parents, we have had a fun week, all but shortened by one day. Our new theme of Fall Fun has kicked off with new songs and new books. In the photos, you can see the lyrics for the new songs focusing on falling leaves and apples on a tree. Books we’ve read include Apples, Apples by Kathleen Zoehfeld and Biscuit is Thankful by Alyssa Capucilli. Circle time was a lively time with our apple props (brought back from Rosh Hashanah) and new fall leaves.

Some of you may be wondering what a typical day in Tzahov looks like. In the morning before children arrive, toys are set on the shelves and are strategically placed around the room to simulate exploration. When children arrive, they are welcomed by the teachers and greeted by their classmates with a smile, a hug, and a cuddle. Our mobile babies are always so eager to greet their friends. At first, play begins on the mat. Blocks are stacked, bottles and buckets are filled and dumped, vehicles zoom around and very quickly our room buzzes with busy babies . As the morning progresses, bottles are given, diapers are changed and the first round of nappers are laid down for a snooze. Toys are collected and cleaned, snacks are offered, and new toys are set on the shelves. Books are read, songs are sung, more bottles are given and more diapers are changed. Play time never ends. The nap room is a revolving door and busy babies buzz. In the afternoon, lunch and more snacks are offered, bottles are given, diapers are changed, smiles, hugs, and cuddles are enjoyed, naps are had and in the room, learning never ceases. Oh how wonderful the day is with buzzing babies!

One fun activity which was a highlight this week was playing peek a boo. The house door provided an opportunity for peek a boo as did the scarves and tunnel. The babies love playing just as much as the teachers!!

Next week, we will have new sensory bags filled with leaves to see and touch as well gourds and pumpkins to explore.  Special sensory bottles will be filled with fall scents to squeeze and smell. The babies will have an opportunity for art, as well.

We hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Fondly, Miss Heidi, Miss Sarah, and Miss Lauren
