Tzahov Room צהוב (Infants)

Happy Jewish New Year to everyone who celebrates and Happy Friday to all.

This week in Tzahov, we focused on the basic symbols of Rosh Hashanah (apples and honey, shofar) as well as this month’s theme of Animals.

Welcome to Ellie L. and her family to Tzahov. We are so happy you have joined our family of friends. We are looking forward to seeing you grow and blossom.

Fun art projects we did this week included stamping with giraffes, painting in bags, and finger painting. Some babes enjoyed the stamping more than others while some really enjoyed the finger painting. For our littlest babes, they had an opportunity to push the paint around in Ziploc bags and  found that the crinkling of the bag was especially entertaining.

The weather cooperated with us this week so we were able to take walks outside to soak in some sunshine. While outside, the babies looked at the flowers and leaves and seemed so happy to go for a stroll.

Circle time this week was full of joy, especially when the puppets were taken out. Their curiosity really came alive with props like the puppets and the pet pictures. The babes’ facial expressions exuded their delight. Books read this week were Brown Bear, Brown Bear by Eric Carle and Moo, Baa, La La La by Sandra Boynton. We have many Usborne books in the “That’s Not My..” series. The babes also really loved hearing and exploring these books!!

We also brought out props for Rosh Hashanah including many apples and a couple of shofars (ram’s horn). It was fun singing both the Rosh Hashanah songs and animal songs this week.

We are looking forward to next week when we will celebrate Harper’s first birthday!

We hope you all enjoy the weekend.

Warmly, Miss Heidi and Miss Sarah
