Hello Sagol Families!
This week we started our construction theme. This week we mainly talked about the names of the construction trucks and what construction workers do. We read many books like Three Little Pigs, Bob the Builder, and a new one called Little Excavator by Anna Dewdney.
We had our large sensory bin full of sand rocks and construction toys.
On Monday, we explored our new dramatic themed toys like our play tools, hardhats, construction worker vests. We also got the magna tiles and more types of blocks out to build with! There was blue paper and white pencils to make our room blueprints before we built the structures.
On Tuesday, we played with our individual sensory bins filled with rice, popsicle sticks for “lumber” and construction trucks.
On Wednesday, we started the day by having two stations. The first one was nailing golf tees into foam with toy hammers and the other one was cutting foam with toy saws.
We had our music class in the sanctuary with Rabbi Crimmings! Later, we went on a nature walk around the pond today instead of our usual water play.
On Thursday, we started our day by playing with gears and the boards.
Then later we had a painting activity where we used the gears as stampers for the paint.
On Friday, we started the day with coloring with our coloring boxes and free play. After our normal group time, we went to the sanctuary upstairs to celebrate Shabbat!
We will continue our construction theme next week.
Have a great weekend everyone!
