This week we continued to have dress up for dramatic play. Our science this week was the sense of sound. We had birdseed in the sensory table for the week.
On Monday we had art with Ms. Beth, where we made ants that marched into spring.
To help get ready for Purim, we made groggers on Tuesday. We used them when we read The Purim Story ( we only got through the first half).
The children shared some great “Ww” items this week. We also talked about self talk with second step.
Wednesday was another great “Ww” share. We did W is for watermelon in art.
We talked more about sound (loud and quiet, high and low) and used our groggers for the second half of the Purim story.
Thursday our art was w is for weather. We added several words to our “Ww” word list, it has gotten very long. We also played a game called “What Makes that Sound”, and practiced self talk for second step. We gave tzedakah which will go to St. Jude’s Hospital.
Friday, Vivi was our Shabbat helper. We gave Tzedakah and played another round of what makes that sound. We were also able to go outside, and our art was w is for worm.
Next week we are talking about taste for science. Dramatic play will be dress up for one more week and our sensory table will have something that smells nice. I will also be attempting to make hamentashen! We will see how it goes. Please remember that our Purim parade is on March 21 at 9:45.
