We had such a fun week continuing our exploration of fall.
At the beginning of the week, a new tree arrived in the classroom. Sticky contact paper was taped facing outwards over a picture of a tree and soft leaves were stuck to the branches. The babes have had lots of fun pulling the leaves off and sticking them back on.
On Tuesday the snow began to fall! The teachers brought little cups of snow into the classroom and the babies got to see and touch the flakes. Some of them were surprised by the cold, wet feeling but enjoyed the new sensation.
This week we also completed another fall theme art project. The babies got to paint with sweet potatoes! It was a multi sensory experience as they explored the bright purple paint and rough sweet potato. Sweet potatoes are a fave in the babies’ lunches, so it was fun to get to use them in a different way.
We hope you have a fun cozy weekend!
