Hello Katom families,
Happy Friday, we can’t believe November is already almost here! This means we will be wrapping up our transportation theme for October. For November we will dedicate our room to the well renowned author Bill Martin Jr. He is the genius behind, Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See?; Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What Do You Hear? and Chicka Chicka Boom Boom – our classroom’s favorite books.
We will be putting more Bill Martin Jr.’s work along with swapping out other books to put in our classroom. You might even notice some changes in toys. We like to keep the children entertained by reading to them, alternating the toys, and bringing in new items. We have put sensory bottles with everyday use items inside. The children love shaking them and hearing the unique sounds the items in the bottle creates.
This week we started to incorporate Hebrew. We have been using Hebrew more and more around the children to expose them to another language. The children know the word chenille which means hugs in Hebrew. It’s fun to see the children learn and use what they hear in class. We hope you get to see what they learn at school at home
As the cold weather approaches we are taking the children on walks. We are beginning to see the season change. Winter is going to be here before long.
We hope you have a great weekend and enjoy the fall weather!
