Happy Friday Katom Families!
Vroom vroom vroom! Coming through, transportation is still our theme for our classroom. It has been fun to celebrate the different types of transportation. This week we focused on songs. A class favorite has been, “Down by the Station”. We read many books to our children. One in particular that we would recommend is, “My Little People School Bus” by Fisher Price. “My Little People School Bus” fits into our theme and is a flip book. We make sure to point out the different objects and say their name which that helps develop language and object recognition.
For a fun activity we used some of the children’s favorite toys, plastic toy cars. We incorporated toy cars, paint and construction paper to make an art project. We took plastic toy cars, had the children dip them in paint and drive them on the paper to make an awesome track design. We hung them on the wall outside our classroom for display.
We want to welcome our newest member of the Katom Family, Oliver. He started on Monday and will be in Katom full time. He loves to listen to music, play with other children and be joyful. He is a wonderful child and we can’t wait to see him grow.
Thank you for allowing us to care for your sweet children. We enjoy the time we get to spend with our students and love to see them develop. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to us. Have a great weekend,
Miss Noa and Miss Lily
