Happy Friday Katom Families and welcome to the month of Dinosaurs! This month we traveled back to prehistoric times. Here we discovered new dinosaurs friends and will focus on social skills and interaction.
We welcomed, Sidney our new friend into the Katom family. He is a charming and sweet boy who is already making great strides in the classroom!
Each week, we as a class get together for circle time where we read or sing songs. Not all circle times are formally had but when the time is right we enjoy each other’s company. Circle time is essential because it is a great introduction to the educational process. This group activity provides the first steps in helping the babes focus and keep concentration on a single event or task. It also brings a sense of community togetherness. This month we are giving a greater focus on circle time since so many of our babies will be toddlers soon!
Creativity and expressing ourselves is always a priority in Katom. This week we did a stamping project with help from our dinosaur friends. The project was later made into small dinosaur footprints that track their way into our new cave hideout!
All the best! Miss Tira, Miss Rosie and Miss Noa
