Hello Toddler friends! I hope everyone made it through this very crazy week!
Monday there was no school so the teachers could get together and discuss ideas for our classes!
On Tuesday the todds walked into a brand new classroom because everything was moved! The kitchen was gone and a concert stage took its place! To get in the performance mood, we looked at the felt book Let’s Put on a Show! and tried on the rock and roll outfits. Everyone looked like a natural performer!
They also helped to paint the stage background.
At circle time we started learning about our healthy habits and sang songs for washing hands and covering your cough and sneeze.
The todds also wanted to take an extra break to drink water to keep us healthy!
Wednesday was a snow day!!! Hopefully everyone stayed safely out of the storm.
When we came back on Thursday, we talked about healthy foods! Everything we eat at school for snack and lunch helps keep our bodies healthy and gives us energy! Foods like fruits, veggies, grains, dairy, and water are best. Making sure to eat less sugar and sticky foods is important too!
To illustrate these ideas, we used a big magnet mouth to see which foods were good for our teeth and which needed lots of extra brushing! Then the toddlers wanted to color their new favorite hero: Super Tooth!
Friday will be shabbat and Quinn will get to be our helper!
We will continue to learn about keeping our bodies healthy with handwashing, teeth brushing, eating well, exercise, and sleep!
