It was a weird week in Adom, with low numbers and the school closure, but we still had a blast talking about travel!
On Monday we explored different modes of transport, playing with planes, trains, boats, cars, and motorcycles. Our small crew also enjoyed some water play!
Wednesday we read Bunnies on the Go and then talked about how when we go on a trip, first we need to pack a suitcase, with things like clothes and a toothbrush. Then we stickered our own suitcases. Peeling and sticking stickers can be a little tricky and involves a lot of fine motor skills. With a little teacher help, though, we all figured it out! The five of us also had fun playing on the playground.
The next day we had water play before reading A Trip to Busy Town. After explaining what a passport is (that you need one to travel to different countries, where they stamp it) we got out ink pads and stamps of planes, cars, stars, flowers, boats, trains, and more. Some friends loved trying all the different stamps, others had more fun squishing the ink pad and using their hands to fill in their passport. Either way, we had fun flipping through the pages and we all ended up with a full passport— what jet-setters! After cleaning up, we enjoyed time in the big room as well.
Friday we will attend Shabbat and try making flags by gluing different shapes on paper. Ms. Alyssa will be teaching us about the rainforest next week!
Have a wonderful weekend!
