Adom Room אדום (Toddlers)

Shabbat Shalom! Are you ready to explore?!

This week we talked about camping and all of the fun that comes with it!

We started the week with water play! We are so excited to be using the sprinkler again. After we played in the water we read Llama Llama Loves Camping. They talked about bringing only the essentials to camp, pitching a tent, and bugs! The kids each got a jar to catch fireflies around the room. They had a blast searching and collecting!

On Tuesday, we had another fun day of water play. We also read a couple of books under the stars in our classroom like we would if we were camping! We have some glow-in-the-dark stars and stars some of our friends have painted hanging on our ceiling for the kids to look at when the lights are off. We read Goodnight Lake and Papa Please Get the Moon For Me while the kids snuggled with their loveys and blankets.

Wednesday, we got to go to music and have a blast singing all of our songs. Canter brought a new friend to sing with us, Mr. Shark and got to sing a class favorite “Baby Shark”! We LOVE music. We also read Camping Trip and made our own lanterns! The kids painted toilet paper rolls yellow and pretended like they were in the forest finding their way through.

On Thursday, we talked about how careful we have to be when we go camping to not disturb the animals and their homes! Our class went on a bear hunt to find the bears all around Bet Shalom. They get so excited when they spot one themselves and each gets to hold the one they found.

Most importantly, we had a special birthday today, Alex turned 2!!! He brought us all a birthday treat and a book he loves. Happy birthday, Alex!

Friday, we plan to celebrate Shabbat in the sanctuary and read Icky Bug Colors. The kids will get to play in our sand bins to see all the different kinds of bugs we can find in the forest while camping.

Next week, Ms. Hannah is going to be focusing on traveling!

Hopefully you all can make it to the Adom parent’s event that Mrs. Rodriguez has set up, and we hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
