Hi hello Adom families! We hope you all had a great week! This week the toddlers started to learn about the color green and we continued to learn about Spring!
All week we read It’s Spring, Brown Bear, Brown Bear and another book Ms. Beth let us borrow called Who’s Hiding. Who’s Hiding is a book with the same pictures of animals on each page. When you flip the page there is a different question at the top of the page like “Who’s sad?, Who’s angry?, and Who’s hiding?” It’s a great mix of memory skill practice and learning how to tell signs of different emotions.
This week we welcomed Walter into our toddler family! He is absolutely just the sweetest todd with a smile that brightens up the room! It already feels like we have known Walter forever, he fits in perfectly and we can’t wait to spend more time with him!
On Monday we started to talk about the color green. After some much needed big room time we came into our classroom and sat on the rug for some story time. Instead of just listening to the story and looking at the pictures the toddlers had a job. Their job was to look for the color green!
Tuesday we started our day with Picture Day! The todds were thrilled to get to go in the stroller and go on an adventure upstairs! They all did very well!
Later we went and played outside and had a blast. We love the fresh air so much!
In the big room we played and ran around with bubbles and enjoyed every minute of it.
When we got back to our classroom there were green toys for us to explore! We looked through the bin of green toys together and then moved to the classroom to continue exploring.
Wednesday morning we had fun playing with our light table legos. We made towers and figured out that the triangle legos when stacked together sort of look like an alligator!
Later we started with some color sorting of spring flowers!
Then we started to make our own flowers! The pedals are our handprints! We started to make a sun made our of our handprints. We LOVE handprints!
Thursday morning we had a green art explosion in our room. The art easel was set up for painting with green paint and then at the table the todds colored with green markers and crayons and used different green stickers.
Later we read our books, talked about spring and looked for the color green. Then we did some more color sorting of flowers!
Friday Eleanor will be our Shabbat helper! Next week Ms. Maddie will talk teach us about sports!
Enjoy your weekend. 🙂
