Hello lovely families! How is it the last week of our summer program? The school year starts in just over a week? Craziness!
This week was an extra fun week because every day we had a different dress up day!
All week we focused on moving our bodies, making it fun, and just overall having a fun last week of summer.
All week in the big room we brought back an oldie, the “walking, walking, hop, hop, hop, running, running” song. For every part of the song we changed up what we changed up our moves, we added, spinning (a fan fav), skipping, crawling, rolling, jumping, you name it we did it. Our all time favorite part of the song in the “running, running, running” part. We are still practicing stopping at the end but we had fun and that’s all that matters!
Monday was a fun day! It was pajama day which is hands down the best dress up day, if you ask me. 🙂
We had two of our new friends that are starting in the toddler room in September come for a visit. Anders and Leo, we are so excited to welcome you to our Adom family! We also had art with Miss Beth! We got to decorate and dress our own little people in cutie pajamas!
Tuesday we started our day with a dance party!! We used scarves and let me tell you, it was fun. 🙂 We looked through the scarfs, threw them up high and watched them fall down, spun with them and so much more.
Tuesday was super hero day, it was so fun seeing everyone’s different outfits!
Wednesday was stripes/polka dot day!
Before music we practiced some yoga! We read through our Yoga Bug book. It was a great way to start the day. 🙂 Next we had music with Cantor Schwartz and got to move our bodies even more when we did the “Hokey Pokey.”
Thursday was backwards day!
We had another dance party to start our day! This time “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes” came on! We also played with scarves this time. After we were done moving around we had fun pulling the scarves in and out of the ball that they are in, once we pulled them all out we stuffed them back in and started again!
We also got to celebrate Eleanor turning 2! Eleanor and her family come in to celebrate with us. We started with a book, Maple, a super cute story that Eleanor loves because it’s about becoming a big sister. Next we had delicious cupcakes! Thank you for coming in to let us celebrate with you all! We can’t wait to continue celebrating on Friday.
Friday Jack will be our Shabbat helper. 🙂
When we come back in September we will be sending Jack, Cal and Hannah to the preschool room. We can not wait to watch them grow, and we are so thankful we still get to see them at music and Shabbat. We will miss them so much but they will always be a huge part of our special Adom family. 🙂
We will also be welcoming in some new classmates and can not wait to get to know them and welcome them to school!
The classroom will be filled with fun new stuff and may look a little different, be excited to explore!
Have a wonderful week off of school, I hope you all get to enjoy the last bits of summer and hopefully some yummy food at the State Fair!!
