Jacob Millner currently serves as Director of AJC’s Minneapolis-St. Paul Regional Office and Associate Director in the Department of Regional Offices where he supervises 5 additional AJC Regional Offices. The primary focus of his work is to support AJC’s 24 US regional offices, assist and augment local and regional advocacy efforts, and expand AJC’s footprint throughout the United States.
Previously, Jacob served as Midwest Regional Director and Senior Policy Analyst for The Israel Project, a Washington D.C. and Jerusalem based strategic communications non-partisan educational organization dedicated to informing the media and public conversation about Israel and the Middle East.
Jacob graduated from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign with a degree in history and political science and received a Master’s of Public Policy (M.P.P) from the Hubert H. Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.
Riv–Ellen Prell, an anthropologist, is Professor Emerita of American Studies at the University of Minnesota, and past Director of the Center for Jewish Studies.
Now in his thirteenth year with the JCRC, Ethan Roberts is the principal lobbyist for Minnesota’s Jewish community and the lead government affairs professional for the JCRC.
Over the course of his tenure with the JCRC, Ethan has secured millions of state and federal dollars for the social service agencies of the Twin Cities Jewish community, and protected and increased incentives for charitable giving. In 2017, Ethan successfully passed pro-Israel, anti-BDS legislation at the Minnesota State Capitol. Ethan has also led three trips to Israel for State Legislators in 2016, 2017, and 2019, which included Speaker Melissa Hortman and former Majority Leader Joyce Peppin.
Ethan is a graduate of Stanford Law School and Macalester College, where he graduated summa cum laude, as well as an alum of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem’s Rothberg International School, where he lived in Israel for a year studying the religions, politics, and history of the Middle East.
Originally from Massachusetts, Ethan lives in Plymouth with his wife, Naomi, as well as their two children, Noah (15) and Elsie (11). They are members of Bet Shalom Congregation. Finally, Ethan is also a professional photographer.
