Letters to My Palestinian Neighbor Book Discussion

March 13 | 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Yossi Klein Halevi’s concise book, intended for Palestinians and Muslims around the world, is essential reading for Jews of all ages and backgrounds. Much of his lyric telling of the Jewish narrative verges on poetry using words we may have forgotten or never learned. Moreover, he manages the most difficult juggle of all: an unshakable attachment to Israel, a commitment to Jewish peoplehood, and a deep empathy for his Palestinian neighbors.

The discussion here at Bet Shalom will be led by Sally Abrams. As Co-Director of the Speakers Bureau for the Jewish Community Relations Council of Minnesota and the Dakotas (JCRC MinnDak), Abrams has spoken about Israel and/or Judaism in scores of churches, classrooms and civic groups.

A limited number of books are available to borrow from Bet Shalom.
To RSVP and to inquire about borrowing a book, please email Marilyn Ruby at marilyn.ruby@betshalom.org or call her at 952-426-6646.
