The book of Ezekiel responds to ancient Israel’s historic exile, but it also contains esoteric images, visionary experiences, and prophetic metaphors that continue to resonate today. Join Dr. Nick Schaser (Macalester College) for an introduction to Ezekiel and how this fascinating text has been interpreted in Jewish tradition. We will explore the historical context of the prophet, as well as theological themes such as Temple worship, divine presence and absence, and Israel’s covenantal identity.

All are welcome to attend these classes! In addition, they will be live-streamed.
