7th Grade: Jim’s Update

Hello 7th Grade Families-

My students and I have had a number of wonderful experiences since my last post. A few weeks ago we spent our day visiting the Hodroff-Epstein Memorial Chapel. We experienced a number of interesting and emotional things, and the kids handled this with great maturity and respect. I know you would have been as proud of your children as I was.

Last week, we spent an hour and a half discussing “Emet” (Truthfulness). We had a very meaningful conversation that lasted for most of the class, and I know they will take this information and incorporate into their every day lives.

At the end of our day last Sunday, we prepared bags containing hygene items for the ICA food shelf, and in January, our 7th graders will deliver these bags to ICA where they will also receive a tour of the facility and learn more about ICA’s mission within our community.

It has been wonderful to see the level of maturity and growth happening right before my eyes and I look forwards to our upcoming field trips!

Thank you,
Jim
