Hello 1st grade families,
Wow, time has flown. I can’t believe it is December already! This year we have learned about Rosh Hashanah (we made cups for honey), Yom Kippur (we made “I’m sorry” cards), Sukkot (we visited the sukkah and had a treat while shaking the lulav and esrog), Simchat Torah (we helped roll the Torah back to the beginning in the social hall), Shabbat and have started learning some Torah stories. We have also been learning Hebrew with Larry as well as learning letters each week. This week we will wrap up learning about Shabbat by making our own challahs and start to learn about Chanukah. Please make sure students are wearing clothes with easy-to-roll-up sleeves so they don’t get dough on them.
See you Sunday,
