Thank you for choosing to donate to Bet Shalom Congregation! To make a secure online donation, click on the appropriate link below, select the fund, the tribute type, and where to send the notification.

Please note the following:

  • Several donations may be made at the same time to multiple funds (one person/occasion designated per donation).
  • We recommend gifts of $18 or multiples of $18. The number 18 symbolizes ch’ai (life) and is the traditional basis for which gifts are given. That said, the synagogue is grateful for all gifts. We recognize all gifts made in our weekly bulletin, HaEtone.
  • Unless you tell us you wish to remain anonymous, an acknowledgement card will be sent on your behalf.
  • A brief description of each fund is available at Bet Shalom Funds.
  • The amount of your donation will not be disclosed to the card recipient.
  • If you need assistance using our Donation program, Bet Shalom staff will be happy to help you. Call (952) 933-8525 and ask to speak with Alice Schultz or Andrea Blumberg during office hours.

Featured Fund

Bet Shalom is blessed with a variety of dedicated funds that serve a wide range of congregational needs. A number of the funds, though extremely worthwhile, are relatively unknown to our congregants. For that reason we plan to highlight a “Featured Fund” from time to time, providing more information about that fund’s goals.

Our dedicated funds have been established to provide such things as scholarships, support for programs and facility enhancements that would not be possible with the constraints of our operating budget. Many of these funds were established through the generosity of donors many years ago, and they are in need of being replenished, and grown, to meet increased demand. We hope you will consider the dedicated funds when making honorary or memorial donations, or any time you are looking for a way to support Bet Shalom.

Elijah Fund
Double the “mitzvah power” of your donation!

Your contribution to the Elijah Fund supports our annual congregational meal packaging day sponsored by the social action committee.  About 200 congregants volunteer together, packaging nonperishable meals for people who are poor or are  displaced by conflict or natural disaster.

Currently we work with Kids Against Hunger. They set up packaging “assembly lines” in our social hall and later deliver the meals to needy people around the world.  Kids Against Hunger charges $.23/ meal to help cover costs.  With our goal to package 30,000 meals, we must pay Kids Against Hunger almost $7,000 every year for this event.  We are depending on donations to the Elijah fund to pay for this.

Your donation does a double mitzvah: you make it possible for congregants to do meal packaging, which in turn helps to feed the poor.  Jewish tradition says “mitzvah goreret mitzvah” –one mitzvah leads to another - and you make that tradition real.

Click here to donate, and please list “Elijah Fund”.  Thanks for your generosity!

If you have questions about any of the dedicated funds please contact Andrea Blumberg at andrea.blumberg@betshalom.org. We would be happy to help steer your contributions to those funds that are near and dear to you and your family’s greatest passions.
