GREETINGS: Jewish Book Month Begins on November 22nd!

REMINDERS:

PLEASE PICK UP YOUR COOKIE DOUGH ORDERS! Thank you all for supporting our fundraiser! The total purchase orders came to $5,000; our 40% earnings factored means we have $2,000 to add to our classroom computer fund!

PICKUP:

o Please remember to enter on ORCHARD RD. and Exit on SHALOM RD.

o There is NO PARKING IN THE FIRE LANE in front of Religious School entrance and in front of the main entrance.

OVATIONS: Please stop in the school office and fill out an Ovation card for someone who did a great job. This can be a teacher, madrichim, or office personnel. The box is on Joanie’s desk. We will deliver your Ovation to the individual!

IMPORTANT ISSUES:
Chag Sameach helps brighten Chanukah for those in need. This is a program run by JFCS. They need new, unwrapped gifts for older adults and teens, as well as monetary donations to purchase additional gifts. Please bring in your gift items by Nov. 21st. We have a box designated for the items in our Religious School Lobby. A flyer with suggested gift items is in our school office…ask Joanie!

Channukah candles will be sold beginning on Sunday, December 7th. There will be three different types of candles sold. Look for the candle table by the religious school door. Proceeds will go towards computers.

Bet Shalom Religious School BOOK FAIR info has been mailed home. Please shop at Barnes and Noble, Ridgedale on Sunday, Dec. 14th. Proceeds will go to the Religious School Computer Fund. For more info contact the religious school office.

Camp Scholarships: Scholarship Forms will be available soon. If you are interested in obtaining a camp scholarship please call or email Meryl at 952-426-6648 or meryl.gruber@betshalom.org

Please join us on Dec. 3rd and 4th for a presentation by Jerry Kay from Camp OSRUI. The presentation will be from 6:00-6:30 for grades 3-6 on Wed. and Thurs., and from 6:30-7:00 on Wed. The program will be held in our auditorium.

Children’s Choir is coming!! Shir Tzair, Bet Shalom’s children’s choir directed by the Cantor, is open to students from grades 1-6. We meet in the Bet Shalom sanctuary between religious school sessions on Sundays, from 10:45 am to 11:15 am. We will begin rehearsals next Sunday, November 23rd. The choir will be preparing to sing for Chanukah, and will meet on November 23rd, December 7th and December 14th. For Chanukah, they will be singing twice for the Religious School on Sunday, December 21st, from 10:30-10:45 and from 11:15-11:30. They will also sing at the Friday night Chanukah service which begins at 7:00 pm on December 26th.This year we will have the wonderful Shana Eisenberg play her guitar with the choir with some new, fun songs!

Please come with your child to the first rehearsal to sign up. Parent volunteers would be greatly appreciated during rehearsals and at the concerts.
