If you are a parent of college students and
young adults, ages 18 and 24 – Read This!!!
As you are looking ahead to your child’s next
life adventure –college, job, etc. – we are
looking forward to hearing from you so your
young adult can stay connected with Bet Shalom.
We feel that our college students and working
young adults, whether in-town or out-of-town,
are an integral part of our congregational
family. The Staying Connected committee works to
keep communications open. Past participants of
the program have loved receiving the care
packages and staying in touch with the
Minneapolis Jewish community.
All young adults that are registered will
receive during the year:
- Letters from the Rabbis
- A copy of HaEtone
- A community-wide young adult directory
(including names, addresses, e-mail and
phone numbers to stay in contact with each
other)
- As well as gifts & mailings from our
younger youth groups.
If you have a young adult age 18-24, please
take a minute or two to provide the correct
basic information. Even if you have given this
information in the past, it must be verified and
updated each year so we can maintain proper
contact with our young adults. Please complete
the form and mail or fax it to the synagogue so
that we may update our records. If you are in
need of another sheet, contact Wendy
Goodman-Hemingway at (952) 426-6653 and another sheet
will be sent out to you.
For Parents: We need parent volunteers to
join the Staying Connected committee to help us
stay in touch with our young adults.
Responsibilities will include helping collect
and maintain information on young adults and
instituting new ways to stay connected. It is
important for the congregation to stay connected
with our young adults. If you are interested in
helping, call Wendy Goodman-Hemingway at (952)
426-6653.
